The Shift to Hardware-Level Encryption

In response to increasing digital fraud, UIDAI has elevated its security protocols, making L1 devices like the Mantra MFS110 mandatory for banking and eKYC. But why does this require a strict Mantra L1 device recharge?

The Architecture of the MFS110

Unlike older scanners, the MFS110 contains a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). It signs biometric data internally using a unique cryptographic key. The UIDAI server must verify this specific key. An active Mantra mfs110 rd service recharge tells the server that the hardware chip is legitimate, secure, and has not been tampered with.

Without this Mantra rd service renewal, the server rejects the hardware's internal signature, generating Error 700 or Error 1001.
